Before spotting these pretty, chocolately squares on tumblr last fall, I had never heard of Nanaimo bars and had no idea such loveliness existed. I guess now I do, and so do you. Apparently, these bars come from a city in British Columbia called Nanaimo and are considered to be the national dessert of Canada. Pretty cool, eh? ; )
